Levels
How long does each level take?
The Council of Europe gives an estimate of the study hours needed for each level of the Common European Framework (CEFR). With a 10-hour pack you learn the basics: introducing yourself, asking and understanding simple questions, and your first practical vocabulary.

About your teacher
Olá, I'm Elsa, Portuguese teacher and translator with more than 30 years of experience, based in Veldhoven, the Netherlands.
I'm a certified teacher of European Portuguese. I was director of the Centro de Língua Portuguesa in Goa, India, and taught Portuguese at the European institutions in Brussels. Today I teach at the Volksuniversiteit Regio Eindhoven and I'm a jury member for the Dutch-Portuguese interpreter selection.
I split my time between the Netherlands and the Cadaval area, north of Lisbon. The Portuguese you learn with me is the Portuguese people speak in Portugal today.
I explain grammar in Dutch, English or French, whichever works best for you.
